Assistant Restaurant Manager - Sun King Brewery

• Indianapolis International Airport (IND)
• $60,000 - $63,000 per year, plus quarterly bonus and annual super bonus
• Full-time, on-site

About the role:

SSP America is hiring an Assistant Restaurant Manager for Sun King Brewery at Indianapolis International Airport. The Sun King Tap Room sits in Concourse B. Our team pours 16 taps of core, seasonal, small batch, barrel-aged and sour beers and serves shareables, salads, sandwiches, wine and featured cocktails to travelers from across Indiana and around the country.

You will report to the General Manager and run shifts across the front of house, the bar and the kitchen. Airport restaurant management moves on a flight schedule instead of a dinner rush, so the day starts early and volume stays steady from open to close. The pace builds operational range fast.

What you will do

• Partner with the General Manager to run daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Lead shifts across the front of house, bar and kitchen
• Hire, train, schedule and mentor team members
• Hold the team to Sun King brand standards for beer service, food quality and presentation
• Enforce health, safety and food sanitation standards, including HACCP and ServSafe requirements
• Manage inventory, place orders and control product quality and waste
• Reconcile cash and apply company financial policies
• Coach performance in the moment and resolve guest concerns before they escalate
• Communicate clearly with the management team, hourly staff and airport partners

What you bring

The Assistant Restaurant Manager we hire will have:

• Minimum 2 years of full-service restaurant management experience
• 1 or more years of supervisory experience in a kitchen or back of house operation, preferred
• Proven ability to lead a team and build a schedule
• Working knowledge of HACCP, ServSafe, health and safety regulations
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Availability for varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays

Pay and benefits

• $60,000 to $63,000 per year
